Christmas 2011

We had a fabulous Christmas!!  It was a whirlwind 24 hours, but so precious to spend time with family and friends making special memories.  After delivering all of our sweet treats Saturday afternoon, the kids were ready to get in their jammies and head to church for "PJ's with the Pastor".
During the service when the Christmas Story is told, all of the children are invited to sit with the Pastor.  This year Eva was eager to sit with her brothers up on the stage.  The highlight of the service came when it "snowed" after the reading!  The snow was actually bubbles, and afterwards Eva asked if she still had to take a bath since she'd played in the "soap"?!  Back at home we had a chilli dinner with the grandparents and our annual viewing of "Polar Express".
Eva was so excited when we woke her in the morning.  This year she was really into opening her presents; taking her time with each one, careful to get off every single bit of paper!!  Waiting for her were the pink "eggos" she's been asking for weeks to get, a new stroller, a baby, and many other surprises!

The boys were equally excited with the new Wii games, a game table for our family room and more. It's so fun to watch all of the expressions as each gift is unwrapped!

Later that evening, we welcomed more family for Christmas dinner and gift exchange.  How warm our home felt to be surrounded all day with those we love!

  1. Beautiful family pic! Looks like you had a great Christmas! Sophie received a trampoline (from Santa), too. It was a single person one but electronic with handle bars. She LOVES to jump on it and it helps get rid of all that energy! Take care!

  2. Love all the photos. Wonder if we can check in Quinn's baby stroller for free at the airport so that she and Eva can push their "babies" around.
