What a wonderful time we have had celebrating this

Easter Holiday!! 

It all began with a Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt & Lunch:

Thank you God for beautiful Spring weather; time spent with family & friends; our first Easter as a family of five, but above all...Thank you for your son, Jesus, who suffered on a cross, died, was buried, and ROSE again!  He is Alive!!

First Haircut

Several weeks ago I took Eva with me to get my haircut and while there it was mentioned that soon Eva would need her first haircut.  So for the past two weeks, everyday we have heard Eva say "Eva haircut" and today was finally the day!

Last night before bed, I told her that she needed to go to sleep so that she could get her haircut in the  morning and would you know the first words out of her mouth this morning were "Now haircut"!!

She was very excited all the way to the salon, but when we walked in the door her demeanor changed a bit.  She got very quite which made me a little nervous, but after giving her a sucker and telling her she could sit on my lap, she did great!!

NINE Months!!

 

WOW...where does the time go??  The saying is true - "It flies by when you are having FUN" and it sure has been a lot of fun around our house the past nine months!  Just like the flowers that are now in full bloom, so is our Eva! 





We are so blessed that we get to watch her grow and blossom everyday into the beautiful little girl God intended for her to be.



And as corny as this may sound, I pray that she'll never stop smelling the flowers along her way!!

1st Annual Girl's Weekend

Here's a new fact we have learned about Eva...

Our girl is a 2 1/2 year old power shopping machine!!

This past weekend Eva was invited on a shopping trip with some of her favorite girl's (lucky for me I was allowed to tag along too)!

Our 5 1/2 hour car ride to some of the best outlet shopping in the South at San Marcos, Texas began pretty early on Friday morning.  We definitely needed some "fuel" to get us going so early...

We shopped for 7 hours, two days in a row and got no complaints from our little super shopper.  When not walking, she was content to ride in the stroller...

or even stop to take pictures with a "friend" along the way...

Of course her favorite part was when we stopped to eat!  What would any respectable girl's weekend be without food and especially a yummy milkshake??!!

From the smile on her face I would say that this weekend was a huge success!

It was really special for me to be able to spend a weekend like this shopping with my daughter.  It is something that I have looked forward to for many years!!

Thanks for a great weekend friends!!  We already have our calendars marked for next year!
